Exam taken at the end of the course
Duration: 150 min
The exam consists of two parts: a practical blind tasting of two wines and a theoretical exam made up of 50 multiple-choice questions and four short-answer questions. To pass the exam, the student must obtain a minimum score of 55 % in both the practical blind tasting exam and the theory exam. Successful students receive a certificate issued by the WSET.
Requires 51.5 hours of prior study.
Study material - study pack for the Level 3 Qualification in WSET study pack, comprising the study book "Understanding wine: Explaining style and quality" and a supporting study guide. Additional for the exam. Specifications document in format.
The training room is equipped with a computer, projector, internet and suitable furniture. For the practical component of the course, each trainee is provided with: tasting glasses, spittoons, a bottle and a glass of water.
Yes. This course is designed for those who already hold the Level 2 Qualification in Wines or equivalent.
We also recommend taking SWA 3 | Wines of the World as a means of acquiring and consolidating knowledge.
